Activate Office 2010 against Server 2012 R2 KMS

If you have recently upgraded/moved to Server 2012 R2 for your KMS host, and you still have Office 2010 clients within your org, you are in for a real treat. Office 2010 KMS is not supported on Server 2012 R2!

http://solent-art.co.uk/paintings/lymington-market Warning: This is probably not supported, and you should use this at your own risk. This was a hail marry on our part that seem to work out. Your mileage may vary. We are not responsible for any issues this may cause within your network.

All you need to do is download this (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=25095) install package. I’ve also uploaded a local copy in case the Microsoft site becomes unavailable, or they remove the download.

Local mirror: KeyManagementServiceHost_en-us

Simply download this file and run it on your KMS host. Enter your KMS key and wait for the application to finish executing. That’s it!
